Back in the Groove

This past month has been wonderful. No classes, no school for the kids, holiday spirit in spades, lot's of time with Dan...I could go on and on and on. No wonder I am having such a hard time getting back into the groove of things. Logan and Linc started school on Wed. and Dan is back to work, but I am still here, trying to motivate myself to get things done. My last semester starts on Monday...I hope I'm a little more organized by then.
This week has been weird. I lost my wallet on Sunday and it was missing until Wed, and I don't know why, but it really threw me off. I had already cancelled everything by the time I found it, but I'm happy to have it back anyway, I hated the thought of all my information in the hands of a stranger. Dan had surgery on his shoulder Tue. He had a pretty big bone spur that was cutting through his shoulder muscles. He is still in a lot of pain, but I think he's going to feel a lot better in a few weeks. The bone spur was making it almost impossible for him to use his right arm and he hasn't been able to throw a football in a year. He's excited to have that back!
Ellie started potty training "officially" today. She has all of the equipment and underwear and I have the motivation, so here we go! I am so ready to be done with diapers.
I still haven't taken my Christmas stuff down. It's been on the top of my list for a week now. I guess I'll have to get to that today, but before I do, I wanted to post some sweet pics of Ellie and Owen. I'm so glad I get some time alone with them everyday! I love them more than life.
With that, I'll let you all go! Hope you're all having a very happy New Year!

The Potty Stuff!

Had to be princess! We already have one potty upstairs, but we needed another downstairs, so Dan picked it out. :)

I love this book for potty training! I used the boy version for my older kids and was very happy to find the girl version yesterday at Super Target!

Ellie really wanted Dora underwear, but they only had 4-T and her little bum barely fits the 2-T, so Hello Kitty it is! Ellie keeps looking down and meowing!

Photobucket
Cutie.

Isn't funny the "favorite" toys kids pick? This little Dora came with a Playdough set I bought ages ago, and Ellie loves it! She sleeps with it every night.

Photobucket
Kisses.

Pretty girl.

I loved this, it reminded me of Raggedy Ann.

Owen Humoring me while I practice.

Photobucket
A new favorite.

Owen loves to cook! He makes his own lunch everyday and it's always the same thing...

Photobucket
Peanut Butter and Jelly! (We also sing the peanut butter and jelly song everyday. If you haven't heard it, I'll sing if for you sometime, it's pretty great!)

Photobucket
This would drive me crazy, but he doesn't seem to mind!

Speaking of independent, look who's putting on her shoes all by herself!

I saved this picture for last because I adore it. Everyday Owen brings me a note like this. He never has "coloring time" without it. He really is the sweetest!

All the potty training stuff is so cute. Is Ellie so excited to wear big girl panties? Maclane had that same book and loved it. Good luck on your classes. Oh yeah and I love that Owen makes his own lunch and writes you sweet notes. I'm impressed he can write so well.
