Linc's First Day!

He was up bright and early this morning and was excited enough to agree to wear some of his new clothes, even though the pants weren't blue! (his favorite pants color) With a little encouragement from his big brother, and an "I love you" note in his lunch box, Lincoln started his first day. Because they phase in the kindergarteners, (that is a really long and funny word btw) he was one of five students today. I got to stick around long enough to see him line up and start his tour of the school. When we got there, he headed straight for the tree house Mrs. Sims had built in her room, but was redirected to his little desk and went right to work, coloring his picture. He was quiet and very interested in everything on the walls, and the names on the desks. I think he is really going to like kindergarten, and I adore the teacher he has!
I also got to meet Logan's teacher today and she seemed really nice too, so here's to a great school year! (fingers crossed!) Of course, I had to take Linc's "first day" pictures. He is so sweet. Here they are:

Little boy, BIG backpack. It was so heavy too because it was full of all his stuff!

Escorting him down the hall. I asked Lincoln to hold my hand and he said he wanted Logan to do it. I'm so glad Logan didn't mind. :)

Mrs. Sims and Lincoln trying to climb the tree house. I can't say that I blame him, I would be all over that thing if I were little.

Linc was happy to see new crayons in his box!

His teacher told them to walk on the line and Linc was taking it very seriously.

Linc and his sleeping mat. I'm pretty sure he'll be ready for it when nap time comes!

My mom always took pictures of us every year before school. I plan on doing that with ours too. But it is amazing how fast they grow! He looks like such a big boy!

I'm so jealous you can stick around like that. Here it's like military school. You have to leave the room when the tardy bell goes off. They even have school assistants checking each room to make sure the parents left when they are supposed to. Last year nutmeg was in tears and they still pried her off and made me leave by the bell. So rude!
