A. Ellie would listen. (I can dream right?)
B. The weather would stop learning of my plans and plotting against me!
C. I had a tri-pod. (Dan says the birthday fairy might be able to help me with that one!)
D. The remote I bought for my camera actually worked.
E. The boys had no sense of humor. (Bunny ears are ALWAYS going to be funny, or so they think.)
and finally,
F. I could keep all of the kids clean at the same time for more than ten minutes!
Okay, I'm done whining. I tried for a family picture again yesterday. I don't think I actually failed, but I didn't get "the" shot I was hoping for. Ah-well, the joy of being a photographer is that you can always try again right? Here are a few shots that I liked, despite their imperfections. :)

This is why for the most part I have given up on family photos. Your post made me laugh!!
LOL Love them all!!!!
You've already heard my sob stories. Maybe we can help each other out one of these days. I do like the heads cut off one.
Fantastic job, I love them! Great location too!
The last time I tried to take our own family pictures has to be over 4 years ago now...I agree. Not fun.

Ok Becky, I loved these picture, original, real, fantastic!
Love it!!! Next time call me and I'll come and try to take some pics of you guys. I'm not at your photographer level, but I'll try. :)
Mmmm, love the family shots! Really, I think the less perfect they are, the better. Really. You'll remember those moments, but the perfect ones.. you don't seem to remember much about getting that one. Well, other than the fact that it took a million times. :)
