A Long Day

It's been a long one. I feel like I've been awake for twenty hours. The kids are all sick. Yes, ALL of them. Logan spent the entire night up with Dan coughing and coughing and is now crashed on the couch with a fever. Owen was good last night, but this was the first night in four days where he wasn't doing the same thing. Linc is now sneezing and coughing like crazy and Ellie, who had a fever for three days straight last week is still sporting a never ceasing runny nose!
I'm not complaining. Well, maybe I am a little, although it could always be a lot worse. I figure I should just chalk this one up to one of those, "I'll look back and miss this one day" kind of things.
Okay, so a look at the positive......It is only temporary.....it's helped Logan remember that he does need his Mom to take care of him still (Mr. Independant)....oh, and an important one....Dan's parent's are coming this week and hopefully the kids will all be done with this by then! I just hope I don't end up with the same thing while they are here and while I have to take my last two finals!

I really do love these kids. They are exceptional. They love each other and love Dan and I and I am very happy to have them! I'll just breathe a little easier when they are all well again!

Here are a few pics from our day inside today. Dan went to Stake Conference alone this year. :(

Sorry, but this is how it's been...all.....week.....long! :)

Little Miss Emotional.

Now she's signing "baby!" That's her favorite, she signs it out of no where!

Photobucket
Now she's happy again!

Photobucket
O's starting to feel better!

Photobucket
Well enough to jump on the bed anyway, although, honesty I think he could be suffering from Pneumonia, Strep Throat and Hepatitis all combined and still have enough energy to jump on the bed.......

Photobucket
......and ride a horse.

Photobucket
I think he's little stir crazy though..."get me outta here!"

Photobucket
Linc's just plain tired.

Here is a picture I've been meaning to take for a long time. This is the "crew". These little guys keep my kids safe and sound every night, and put up with being carried all over the house during the day! Their names are (from left to right): Dumbo (Linc's), Gilbert (Linc's), Foxy (Linc's), Big Teddy (Ellie's), Puppy Pup (Owen's), Little Teddy (Ellie's), Mickey (Logan's), Fella (Linc's), and Pooh Bear (Owen's).

Photobucket
Linc and Ellie wanted to get in on this shot.

Photobucket
Time to put them to bed!

Time to put Linc to bed.

Photobucket
Time for O to test out the outlets on Puppy Pup. (Don't worry, we have outlet protectors!)

Photobucket
When he was done, O turned and said, "Yep, he survived!)

Photobucket
Cutie.

And finally, one more sweet Ellie Belly. You may be asking yourself, "Wait, doesn't that girl have four adorable kids?" And the answer is yes, I do, last time I checked anyway. I just felt too bad for poor Logan to turn the camera on him today. He's asleep on the couch right now, and I hope it helps his fever! I guess that's all for today then!

I'm sorry it's still been going on. Let's just say I'm staying clear of your house for a LONG while! Love you, but I'll wait a bit before stopping by. :)

I know how overwhelmed I get with just 2 sick kiddos. I can't imagine 4. I really, REALLY hope they all get better soon, for their sake AND yours.

Pretty color in your pictures! Hope everyone feels better soon. Take yourself out for a pedicure, I find it does me a world of good when I'm stretched out a bit.

Oh man! We've been surrounded by bugs this year, too. It's such a mess when one kid passes it to the next and the next and FINALLY you think there's a chance people might get better, and then mommy gets sick. Oh sheesh. I hope the noses stop running, the fevers calm down, and everyone gets over the yuckies.
