Welcome Home and Lemonade

It's been a great first week of school for Logan. He loves his teacher and his class, and we've given him a little more freedom this year and are letting him ride the school bus home from school! He really likes it. He seems to be so confident and happy about it too; it makes me so proud. Also, my other kids love it. Every day at three o'clock we go our on the driveway to wait for the bus. Yesterday I went out with my camera to capture a few of the moments. The boys are literally bursting with anticipation, constantly watching up the road for the first sign of school bus they can see. WHen he comes out, they run up and hug him. I sit and smile. It's very sweet. Here are a few collages showing what the kids do while they are waiting and the play-by-play of Logan's bus arriving.

Last night, Logan got busy working on a project. He is usually busy with something, so I didn't think anything of it until right before bed when he called me into the front room to show me his plan. He had a blueprint, list and map made up of a lemonade stand he wanted to put up in the morning. He had even taken the time to cut pictures of lemons out of one of my Martha Stewart magazines. Bright and early this morning, he was out there. I told him he could run the stand for one hour and then he had to come in for breakfast. Of course the other boys had to join in. They only got one customer. A very nice man on an enormous Harley. Logan gave him his lemonade and then explained that he had added an extra packet of lemonade in it to make it extra zingy! They man was very nice and drank the entire, SOUR cup. Logan couldn't have been happier.

His own design. I didn't help with any of this!

And just a few more of sweet Ellie. She can not be outside with out shoving everything in her mouth!

That is great about the lemonade stand - so clever! Also, it is so sweet to see Logan running off the bus to meet his brothers - how sweet! Glad you got to capture it!

Too bad you don't live closer. Brian is the kind of guy that buys lemonade from any stand he passes or something from all the kids coming around selling stuff for fundraisers. The kids in the neighborhood probably know if they come to our house selling something make sure to get the husband, the wife always says no.
