A Very Busy Week

Wow! This past week has flown by! Logan and Lincoln both turned a year older and between chasing my children in a bowling alley, and pinning them down in the dental office, I have to say I am exhausted! (really they both did very well at the dentist; My exhaustion must have come from my two year old who did escape for a split second and almost made it to the elevator. Thank you Logan for being so fast! He's always chasing Owen for me.)

Logan got to choose how the boys celebrated their birthdays this year and nothing would do for him but bowling! They each got to pick a friend to come along. It was a first for all of my kids so they had a blast! I was very grateful that we were bowling next to some very patient people because poor Linc had a hard time rolling his ball down the correct lane. Once the headstrong boy actually had the humongus (how on earth do you spell that one?) ball in his small grasp, his balance was very wobbly and the result was myself (or Dan), scampering up the lane gutter in an attempt to stop his luckily very slow ball from hitting our neighbors pins. I was succesful once, but Dan must not have been as fast as me, cause he wasn't able to stop the second stray ball in time. hee hee hee. Our tired heads hung in embarrassment for a few minutes, but like I said, they were very patient people. Needless to say, after that we made sure to always steer Linc in the right direction when it was his turn. :)

I had to kick myself, because for some strange reason I forgot my camera that day! Grrr. I did get a few pics of the boys blowing out their candles so I'll post those.

Oh, and Ellie is starting to sit up, so I'll add that too. As usual I went a little crazy with my picture taking, so I'm adding a few. :) Here they come!

Umm, how old is this boy? Once Logan saw Owen's face (picture this one, with Owen's cute smile), he had to join in the fun!

Chocolate cake with sprinkles. Logan's choice!

Linc's gigantic Star Wars coloring book. Everything for both of the boys was Star Wars this year! You got any Star Wars questions? I'll have the answers. If not, I'll just ask my four year old and he'll know!

Linc's number 8 cake. For some reason, 8 is his favorite number! Oh yeah, notice the tealight candles? Um... we kind of ran out of birthday candles. Linc didn't seem to mind.

Linc is sitting here with me, and told me that this is a picture of an oval. hee hee.

Ellie's favorite toy....her fingers.

disgruntled.

Here is the proof that Ellie is sitting up, AND that she is part puppy.

Two little teef''s.

Okay, so this would be Owen. I know I should have gotten after him for playing with the movies, but honestly, it was so cute! He gets away with a lot because of his cuteness, the little stinker.

I love the messy face. LOL
Using tea lights is super smart. Good job, Mom.
And I love the picture of Ellie playing with her fingers! Precious.

What a fun birthday idea (even if it did involve minor damage control)! I'm glad the boys had a good time, and your neighbor bowlers were patient.

Ellie has teeth! No! I must see them. Let's get together soon!
