Here comes the sun!

I am happy again. Apparently I am one of those people whose mood is completely effected by the sun. I could never live in Seattle, or any place with too much dark. We have had nearly an entire week of beautiful weather. My kids have more spring in their step, (at least they did, before we ALL got sick again...even so, I refuse to let it get us down,) and I am ready to call the bug guys to spray down our yard. Spring is here and the beautiful Bradford Pear trees are in full blossom! (another thing I love about the south) Of course, since the boys have been outside a lot, I've been right out there with them, experimenting with my camera. I have a question for you camera savvy people. What do you think is the best setting to take an action shot in? I have an action setting on my camera, but I cannot get it to take a decent picture to save my life. Any suggestions?
Anyway, here are a few of our latest adventures. I can't wait to get out and travel around for more exciting places. I'm getting a little tired of our backyard, not that I'm complaining, cause did I mention I'm so happy to be outside?! Okay, I'll stop now. Here they are.

happy boy.

Here's a really easy cake idea I came up with! Two round cakes, and a bag of skittles. It was so fun for my kids to watch too.

Spring... I am so jealous...-30 here today..boo. Great pics!! Amazing Cake!! so yummy!! Oh and choose a shutter speed priority and about 1/250sec or faster 300+ should capture the action with little to no blur. If youchoose a slower speed and pan (move with subject) your background will be blurry and that is another great affect for action!! Kids love them cause they look soper fast when running! lol

Oh to have warm weather. I'm not even going to pretend I'm not jealous, 'cause yesterday it snowed lik 16 inches (and NO, I'm not exaggerating). Your pics look awesome. But, then, you have insanely adorable models :)

Can you believe it yesterday! Now, back to cold! Soon enough it will be too hot though!
