...and how fast it flew by! They all seem to be doing that these days! November started off with our fun little Owen's birthday! He turned six this year, which meant that most of his presents had super heros in them. He loves Captain America these days. In fact, he loves anything that involves a good battle. Even his drawings are active. He'll grab a piece of paper and two different crayons and battle them together on the page in jagged and swirly lines until the winner shows the most color in his final masterpiece. Owen is such a good boy...which is funny because he has such a hard time controlling himself. He's always thinking, moving and going, but when he stops he gives the best hugs and makes you feel very loved. I love you Owen! Here are a few from his special day.
Next was our beautiful Autumn! It's still here, even though it's December, although it is cooling down just a little bit. Days like this one below are my favorite. Nothing is better to me than watching children play in huge piles of leaves!
Loved this one! THey are all looking at the camera at the same time!
Serious boy.
Ellie and her flowers.
Our last southern visit with my brother and his family. They are back in Utah now, but we got to have them for thanksgiving!
Silly boy.
Oh, and we are getting ready to sell the house now, so last week (with the help of some amazing friends!) we ripped up the carpets downstairs and put down new flooring! Everyone pitched in and after a week of recovery, our muscles are starting to ache less. :)
Pretty huh!?
Finally, decorating for Christmas for the last time in this house. It kind of makes me choke up a bit thinking about it, but I am savouring every moment a lot more! Dan got his dream job with the state department and will start in January in DC. We are struggling to get everything ready, plus fighting off a nasty cold that has left a cough in both of us that will not go away, but I think we will make it! More on all that later.
Gotta love a train set!

The floors look great! Love them. Also love the picture of the kids in the tree, so cute.
