Summer Begins

Well, it's almost here. Logan has one week of first grade left. Lincoln's been done with pre-school now for a few weeks and is looking forward to kindergarten. Owen is registered for pre-school next year, and Ellie is sporting her summer shirts and tank-tops. I guess that means summer is about here!

I have a lot of goals for this summer. Most of them involve taking my kids on fun adventures, to help pass the time. The thought of being stuck in the house for three long months does not, how do they say, "appeal" to me. I think we'd all end up crazy. So, if any of you out there are interested, I plan on a lot of library, fountain, park, movie, Old McDonald's, Botanical Garden, and play date trips. Oh, and if anyone knows of a really great place to take swimming lessons, please share! I'm sad to say none of my boys know how to swim. They don't really like the water much, so this is our year!

I've been doing a lot with photography since schools been out. I'm really enjoying it. If anyone is interested check out the link to my photo blog along my sidebar. I've been writing a little too, which is always fun for me.
The kids are happy, dirty and very busy. I love how they think I can listen to four people at once. :) I guess that's about it for now. Here are my weekly pics. These are all kind of random shots. None of Logan or Dan today, just those of us who are home all day. Have a good one!

Okay, I know this is completely unsafe and that my taking a picture of it might very well encourage this kind of behavior, but I couldn't resist. Linc asked where his favorite shirt was. I told him to go look in the dryer. I guess he figured he would need a very close look, cause this is where I found him. Love the warning signs on the dryer that showed up in this picture....sigh.

Another fun find. This was Owen in time out. I guess I know now why he was being naughty! The poor kids was exhausted! Logan REALLY wanted to tip him over. It was tempting, but my maternal instincts kicked in and I made him leave the poor boy alone.

I just liked this picture cause you can see her above and below the table.

As I get older, there are fewer and fewer pictures of me that I actually like, so when I find one, I have to post it. Owen actually took this one. My camera was a little heavy for him (don't worry, the strap was around his neck!) so he was aiming down. I had to duck to get in the shot. He thought it was soo funny! He giggled and laughed the whole time.

A timer shot of us together. I love this squishy, fun kid! Oh, and I have to add, that I realize this photo is pretty over-exposed. I have found that wrinkles and pregnancy spots magically disappear when I over expose the picture; and since most of those wrinkles and spots came from giving life to and raising my adorable kids, I claim the right to over expose as much as I please...ahem, thank you.

My kids CAN NOT go outside with out getting muddy. I am convinced it is in their genetic make-up. Mom, was I like that?!

Star pose.

Owen's "Zombie." I believe he was growling something about "brains" at the time.

Linc and Logan went to the doctors for the annual check up yesterday and came home with this. I love our doctor!

There is a pool that offered swimming lessons in Toney.... its called Blue Water Springs. I think they still do offer swimming lessons... I went there when I took swimming lessons.
