Somebody's Seven!

Wow....seven years old. Logan is turning into a man before my eyes! He has made so many changes this year. Most of them are too little to note, but they all add up to the fact that he is growing up! Dan and I have often asked ourselves what would life be like without our "family Energizer?" He carries a light with him that always adds so much to our family. He is my live-in babysitter, my idea man, my fantastic helper, and my friend. I love you Logan. Happy birthday crazy man!

We were able to sneak outside to the backyard for a second after church today for a quick photo shoot. Check out this big guy.

Since Linc's birthday is this Wed. we decided to take the boys bowling this weekend and that of course meant that they got to bring a friend. Since both of their friends were int eh same family, we just invited them all and had a crazy/fun time chasing kids and directing them down the correct lane. It was a success this year I'd say because Linc didn't bowl in the wrong lane like he did twice last year! Thanks for coming Cowans!

This morning Logan woke up bright and early, ready for the presents. Unfortunantly for him, Daddy and I had been up way to late the night before, wrapping them, and so he was forced to be patient while we slept in a little. (Can you call seven-thirty "sleeping in?")

Then tonight, we had Logan's favorite dinner (creamy chicken and rice) and some yummy chocolate cake. Logan added Star Wars figures to the cake to make it just right. As you'll see from the pictures, the kids really liked the cake! Especially Ellie.

Dan smeared the chocolate into a mustache design. :)

Way too much fun!

Ellie and I spend a lot of time staring at each other and making faces. It's even more fun when her face is covered in chocolate! Love this girl!
