Finally, I'm posting some pics from the fourth of July! It's been a crazy week. I feel like this summer is passing me by so fast and I've barely had time to see anyone! Hope everyone is having a good summer. :) Anyway, here are some of my favorite fourth pictures. A lot of these were taken by Dia or her husband and I am posting them straight from the camera. They had such a great community party for the fourth with pony rides, blow up toys, snow cones, face painting and a lot more. The kids had a lot of fun! In fact they had so much fun, that that evening Owen and Lincoln were knocked out with heat exhaustion and had to miss the fire works!
Luckily they recovered alright and are now begging to go back to their "Aunt Dia's!" I love having such a good friend so close. I really have been missing family lately, so it's been nice to have her and her family only three or four hours away. :)
I'll stop talking now and post because it's late and I really need to get in bed! Here are some of my faves..... They are in backwards order of the day.
Here are poor O and Linc during the fireworks. Notice the pink princess pull-ups? Nice huh? They were so out of it, and we had to keep them hydrated, so these were our pre-cautionary "save Dia's rug" accomidations. I was glad we put them on too, because it would have been messy! Poor little guys. The rest of the kiddo's.
I loved this picture of Dia's boy with the not so sparkly sparklers.
Logan....concentrating on not burning himself I think. I posted some more of our fireworks pictures on my photoblog. I got a few I liked.
The ones that shot up were a little better.
We had to let the boys have a try, it wouldn't be fair to only let the dad's take part in the pyro-fun now would it?

We set off some fireworks that were SOOO loud. Look at the little girls face in this picture! She didn't like them very much!

Here's Logan, D and D's friend J. Logan saw J's tiger face and had to have one! This was the fun little train ride they had. I think the boys went on it at least five times.
M too. Oh, and make sure you call this a "fire work." not a "fire cracker!" I made that mistake. :)
Here's me trying to coax O into petting the pony he had just ridden. He was a little nervous throughout the ride, but he still wanted to try.
Okay, so I know that all you Alabama fans are questioning our loyalty after seeing this picture, but let me assure you that the boys washed their faces the second we got home! ;)
Here's proof that we really tried to keep the boys hydrated! I have a few more pics like this...thanks Dia.
D decided to go with the patriotic!

Summer is the best! I'm glad you have some great friends and family close enough by to have fun with. Your boys are growing so fast.
hey girl! The face painting looks amazing! I'll bet the kids had a blast. And yes, we need to get together soon. AND don't worry, I'll show you the ways of couponing. You'll be amazed at how well the system works!!!
