One of the things I love to do these days is go back and read past blog posts. I've been keeping up on our family using this blog for about two and a half years and a lot has changed in that time. Pictures of Logan and Linc when we first moved here show such small, round little faces, and now they are skinny big boys who are smart and so grown up. Owen wasn't even born when I first started to write. Dan and I have moved into a new house, I've delivered a couple of babies, started a few new hobbies, Logan's gone through pre-school and started kindergarten, and Linc's started pre-school too.
The phrase, "Time flies..." holds a lot of meaning to me lately as watch my children grow faster than I have time to process and comprehend. I love their progress, miss their past accomplishments, and pray for their happy futures. I'm so happy I am able to capture some of their sweet little lives on this blog. It makes it all worth it.
Here are a few up close Ellie shots I took yesterday. Someday, I'll be looking at old posts, and I know these pictures will make me want to cry. Oh, and I'm adding a picture of Logan reading his first chapter book. So cute!
"Okay mom, could you stop taking pictures already?"
lashes.
Security Fingers
My favorite.
And here is Logan. He's reading a Junie B. Jones book. They are written as if a little tom-boyish kindergarten girl were speaking, They are pretty cute, but they have words like dumb, and stupid in them. (words we don't let the boys say to each other) It was so funny the other day, I found Logan and Lincoln on the couch together giggling and looking like they were up to something, so I paused to listen and heard Logan say, "Look Lincoln, it says, dumb. hee hee hee. That's a bad word!" They both laughed and laughed. Ah-well, at least they are reading!

Becky,
I definitely need to come for a few pics of Gus! They are great!
That first picture is priceless!! haha LOL!!hee hee
I love Junie B! When I taught school, those books were my kids favorite read alouds. They are hilarious!
Loved the fingers and toes picture!
And if you're looking to capture sports pictures, or fast moving children.... adjust your shutter speed so that you're shooting as fast as the light will allow you. Ex. If you're shooting a 1/250 you're capturing the image at a 250th of a second. Make sure you have good light so your camera can shoot that fast and still get a good exposure on the shot.
We do need to get together soon! My in-laws come in tomorrow and then we leave for Italy on Tuesday. If I don't pull all my stressed hair out before then, we'll give y'all a call as soon as we get back.
Very cute Becki. I can't get over how much your kids look like you! It looks like the baby is growing up fast. It was fun to go to Kira and Kendra's blessing. I wish you could have been there. It would have been good to see you.
So talented. What camera do you use? Your baby is darling!
