Saturday was full of much anticipated sunlight. It had been gloomy all week long and with the light came our desire to leave our dimly lit apartment and soak in some vitamin D! Dan and I have both been anxious to see the temple here, so we chose that as our first outing. Some good friends of ours in Huntsville told us that when we went to see this temple we should go at night because it is a beautiful sight off of the highway all lit up in the darkness, and we have every intention of doing that...next time...because we were just too impatient to see it as soon as possible! :) I have to say, I can't wait to see it when it IS dark because it was already breathtaking at mid-day. The sun lit it up so well it looked like it was glowing!
There is a visitors center next to the building that we took the kids through. It was full of interactive spiritual learning lessons for the and had a statue of the Savior that was beautiful as well. We stopped in at a little italian place before we went because we were all very hungry and that usually means grumpy, and we wanted to enjoy the experience. I can't remember the name of the restaurant we stopped at, but it was cute and small and about to close. Dan asked them if they'd rather we went somewhere else, but they told us to come in anyway. It was really classic italian inside and apart from the Metallica music that seemed to clash with the atmosphere of the place we had a good time!
I won't bore you with anymore words, and let the pictures say the rest! Bye!
Love these kids!
A few fun artsy ones for me...
Oh...and a few of Ellie playing at her new favorite place at our apartment complex!
