October went by in a flash. It was full of lots of fun for the kids, beautiful weather to enjoy and enough photo-ops to make a very long post! Autumn has long been my favorite time of year and in Alabama, it is absolutely beautiful! We started out this October like we do every year, with our church's general conference address. We have our traditions that make that time one of my favorites times of the year. We played our bingo game, made french toast and took a country drive in between sessions. On our drive we found a beautiful spot with long hay bales for the kids to run and play on. It felt like real-world Super Mario! I don't think I can remember a more beautiful day. I am pretty sure it was what heaven feels like!
During the conference...
...and in between sessions.
A week or so after that the kids had "farm day" at school and got to dress up like farmers. Logan grabbed the rake and gave the picture an "American Gothic" look.
Last Monday we decided it was time to drop by the pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins. We went to Tate Farms on a fairly cold day and had a blast!
Loved this one!
After Tate Farms we headed over to the Marsaw's new house for our seventh annual pumpkin carving night.
Poor Logan's pumpkin had iron-clad skin and we couldn't carve it without using a chain saw, which didn't too well on the Marsaw's table! He was pretty disappointed about it.
Owen's fiftieth day of school sock hop! He gave it two thumbs up!
His fifties outfit!
Ellie came down from her room looking like this the other day and it was such a "her" look I had to take a picture. She loves to layer her clothes. The more layers the better and pink teddy is always a must!
Kids costumes for our wards fall festival. Three ninja's and an astronaut!
Love Linc's pose.
And here's what they wore for trick or treating. Our little neighbor and friend came with us!
surveying the goods.
Sunday best.
And a few of my sweetheart. We have a lot of time together these days!
She is always bringing me flowers!
The end!
