Easter Weekend

So I haven't posted for a while mainly because I have been catching up on everything I left behind when I left for a week to visit Dia and Brook in Georgia. We had a really fun trip and with a ton of help from a sick Brooklyn we put together a easter egg hunt for our kids in Dia's yard. The kids loved it and I really love watching our kids play together, it's strange to me how fast time flies.
Here's our oldest five right before the hunt. We let the babies watch the big kids hunt then they got to steal some of their treats after it was done.

Logan hoarding his eggs.

This is Linc Easter morning. The Easter bunny hid eggs inside this year, it was a little too cold outside. We've been finding eggs all week long; it's so fun to hear one of the boys discover a new one. Daddy's head knocked a few out of the Chandelier yesterday morning as he stood up from breakfast, he he he.

Before the hunt at home.

I like this picture. This was taken in Lynchburg, at a little stream behind a restaraunt called Miss Mary Bo Bo's. We went there in search of a good southern cook book. It's a really cute little downtown, and the cook book is great. We tried out some new recipes for Easter dinner. Mmm Mmm, Pork roast and cheesy corn muffins, with side board potatoes. I think I'll have to hide the book for a month before I cook from it again, most of the recipes first ingredient was bacon drippings. It was so good though!

Bye Bye Binki

Well, I think the time has come for baby O to say goodbye to his precious little binki. I can't tell you all how tired I am of constantly searching for it! It's going to be a long few days, but I think the time is right. Wish me luck.

Oh, here are a few adorable pics of Owen and his new "funny face." He pulls this face all the time for a laugh. His little sense of humor is starting to show up, I love it!

I'm also posting a picture of Lincoln and his recovered lip, for anyone who might be curious. It healed really well and very fast for that matter. Linc and Logan had their yearly check-ups today and they both did well. Since his stitches, Linc has been pretty afraid of doctors, but as long as I was attached to him, he was fine. Logan did a lot of different tests today and he was so good for all of them! He didn't even fight when they had to prick his finger. I'm sure his calmness was a result of our before-the-visit bribery talk, (robin egg treats in the car) and the relief he felt after learning that he wasn't going to get a real shot.

Thank you Jessica for watching a grouchy Owen during their appointment! It wouldn't have been such a pleasant experience without you!

"Owen, show me your funny face!"
(shown here after a yummy treat of marshmallows)

"Yep mom, I'm still doing it!"

Here's Logan coaxing his little brother on.

Here's another funny face Owen pulls at me lately. He pushes his chin to his chest, then looks up at me for a few seconds before cracking up. I copy him and he thinks it is so funny.

This isn't the best picture of Linc, but look at his lip! He only has a little scar left.

Lincoln's Turn

Well, our round of birthdays is over as of tomorrow. Lincoln turned three today. He was happy to get his presents this morning, but he didn't want me to tell him "Happy Birthday" until about lunch time. He then admitted that it was his day and that he was turning four. I reminded him that he was only three, but he refused to accept that. He told a few of the sweet people who called that he was four too. He's so funny! The best thing about Lincoln is the way he gets so excited about his interests. He jumps up and down and his entire being bursts with excitement. He has a little temper (sometimes not so little), and can be screaming one minute, but as soon as he calms down, he wants nothing more than to hug and cuddle and tell you how much he loves you.

No one loves as well as Linc.

He is sweet, smart, stubborn, and adorable! We love having him in our family. Like all of my boys, I don't know what I'd do with out him. He is always roaming the house, spelling words, eating apples, and singing songs. Oh, and his favorite color is GREEN!

I love you Lincoln. Happy Birthday!

He has reminded me of a little man from the start!

Linc has always been able to fall asleep ANYWHERE.

I think he likes to pose for the camera, even when he's busy having fun, he'll humor me. (or Kim in this instance)

So sweet. As I went through many of our old photos, I had to laugh at how many times Lincoln had his shirt off. He has the most adorable shoulder dimples, I think he's trying to show them off!

Sweet, but serious. That's our Lincoln. I think he fits his name very well.
