A day at the gardens

Hey everybody! I'm apologizing now for how many pictures I've downloaded on this post. I liked so many of them, and I didn't even add as many as I wanted to. Saturday was fun for our little family. We went to the gardens and saw all the Scarecrows and pumpkins they had all over. I went crazy taking pictures. Everything seemed photo worthy! Anyway, I've posted a lot of them below and I hope you like them. This is Logan infront of a little pumpkin patch. I liked it because if you go back to my first ever blog post (about a year ago) I posted a picture of Logan infront of a pumpkin patch we made. He loves pumpkins!

We carted Owen around in the wagon all day and he was so patient! Logan and Lincoln were very sweet to him. In fact, Lincoln and Owen fell asleep half way through the trip lying on eachother. I didn't add that picture, but it was really cute.

How many chances am I going to have to take an adorable picture of my baby boy in front of a patch of purple daisies? I'm guessing not too many. I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by!

I have at least five pictures similar to this one. I couldn't get enough of his cute little walk. He was EVERYWHERE in the childrens garden. It was hard to keep up with him, especially from behind a camera lens.

What a good Daddy!

This pond is the boys favorite part of the gardens. It is full of over-sized goldfish and cat fish, and I'm sure lots of other kinds of fish that I don't know the names of. I like the lily pads myself. :)

A nice lady offered to take a picture for us!

Pictures for G-ma's and G-pa's!

We had Logan's last soccer game of the season on Saturday. He had a fun time playing the games, but it took him a while to warm up to the idea of going after the ball. He would run with crowd, the first few games, but wasn't very aggresive. Dan and I tried to explain that it's ok to take the ball, because it's sports, and finally this Saturday (of course it was the last game) he got into the game and made his first goal! He was so proud of himself and got to pick his favorite kind of icecream on the way home. (bubble gum)

Two silly brothers! They got these glasses at a birthday party and laughed and laughed for nearly an hour at each other! In honor of the glasses, Dan put in an old Marx brother movie. I thought about giving the boys mustaches too, perphaps another time.

I love this picture because of the look on Lincoln's face!

Logan took this picture. I love Owen's expression and his spread eagle legs! (Why are you doing this to me mom?)

Does anyone else ever have this problem?

My friend Diana's business

Hey everyone! I have a good friend who has just started her own business. She put her own website together, writing it from scratch, and her items are really cute, so you should check them out! I've added her website as a link on this page. Here it is again though, www.asmallexpression.com
I'll add more pictures tomorrow!

up a tree

I have been spending a lot of time outside lately. Logan is an outdoors fanatic and has recently discovered the joy of tree climbing. We have a little tree in our backyard that is just his height(with the help of a wagon). Yesterday while he was climbing, Lincoln came up to the tree and begged Logan to grab his hand and pull him up. It was very sweet, so I helped Lincoln into the tree and took some pictures. They were both as happy as could be and now Logan calls the tree his 'thoughtful spot'. (Thanks to Winnie the Pooh!) He spends a lot of time in it.
Two little monkeys sitting in a tree!

Why look up, when everything down is much more interesting?

Thoughtful Lincoln

Something about this picture makes me feel happy and sad at the same time.

This one just makes me happy!

A day at home with my camera

Today was a day spent at home with one of Logan's pre-school/primary friends named Cache. since the three big boys spent so much time playing, I got to play around with my camera a little bit. Owen was the easiest target, so there are more pictures of him. Today has taught me that I really know nothing about photography. I think I'm ready to learn though. It was really fun! Oh, I'm also posting a poem/story on my literature blog I wrote for Logan. It was inspired by a true story from my friend Dia. I hope you enjoy it!

So, I'm a bit of a germ-a-phobic, especially in public places (though I'm not as bad as Dan) and I always flush the toilet with my foot. Today I caught Lincoln trying to do it and I had to run to get my camera! luckily it took him a few tries, because he really had to stretch his little leg up there. I love this picture!

Lincoln watching Handy Manny. He's happiest when he's watching a show!

My little couch potato!

Did y'all know they make chocolate animal crackers now? You know, the kind in the humungous bag. Well, they do, and they are a hit with Owen! Hurray.

Logan and Cache! Does someone look like they're flashing some signs?

I'm proud of this picture because it show's Owen's curiousty while showing a unique perspective of my fire place and kitchen.

Holy Cow, look at those eyes!
