Oversized

Ellie loves to cuddle. She loves snuggly, soft toys. Her bed is filled with them. Some she's been given, some she's attached herself to at the store, refusing to let go, and some have been donated by adoring brothers who love making her happy.
I think it's sweet, and Ellie cuddles to her little hearts content. But is there a way to take something good, such as plush toys, and go, shall we say, "a little overboard?" Hmm, that's an interesting question, one to which Dan has an answer...

Absolutely not!

Dan came home from a trip to Costco last week, carting the largest Teddy Bear I've ever seen. Since her birthday is coming up in a week or so, we were going to wait to give it to her, but his excitement was too much; and so, Ellie came down Saturday morning to find the enormous bear propped up against the piano. The younger boys were as excited as the big one, and had armfuls of animals (already owned!) ready to throw into the mix.
Ellie saw it, took in an excited breath, and pranced straight at it, stopping only to give it a kiss on the nose before hugging and tackling it to the ground.
Life is good. His name is unofficially, "Beary".

Here is a picture of Ellie and her new friend.

Love the hair!

Oh, and I posted this on my facebook last week, but I didn't want to forget it, so I'm posting it here too. Logan lost a tooth (at church!) last week and the tooth fairy sort of forgot to show up. it all ended well though...no dreams were shattered this time!

So the tooth fairy kinda forgot. Logan came in this morning saying he found his tooth on the floor and no money under his pillow. I told him to get dressed while I checked, then ran for my wallet. All I had was a five (dang!) so I ran and tossed it under his bed. Logan found it and decided that the fairy must have dropped the tooth on her way out. Whew. Here's to keeping those imaginations alive! Five dollars...man.

The comments I got on this one were hilarious. I'm glad to know I'm not the only forgetful tooth fairy out there!

I love oversized stuffed animals. Peter has a big panda donated from my sister, and loves to hug and cuddle with it.

That last picture is great, won't it be funny to look back and see how Ellie grows with the bear? And yes, that's probably the biggest stuffed animal I've ever seen.
