Chattanooga Zoo

I have to confess, I haven't taken the kids to the zoo in probably four years. Utah has an amazing zoo that Logan was lucky enough to visit all the time, but since we've moved here and increased the size of our family by two, it just hasn't happened. I've been feeling bad about it though, so when some friends invited us to visit the Chattanooga zoo with them, I decided the day to start visiting zoos again has arrived. It was a small zoo, but the kids didn't seem to notice and everyone had a lot of fun!

Owen escaped once and ran to the front of the zoo to stare at the electric box, but other than that, everything went off without a hitch. I'll let my pictures do the rest of the talking for me!

Oh, and I'm getting the word out that I have posted a drawing for a photo shoot on my photo blog if anyone is interested. I'm trying kick off spring now that the weather is warming up! :)

Now that is one thoughtful chimp. Poor guy. He was all alone and had been that way almost his entire life! He actually came right up to the glass and stared me in the eyes. It was a weird feeling.

This guy tried to grab a bit of my coat. I felt a tug, looked down and had to pull it out of his mouth. He looked mildly annoyed.

Who doesn't like the profile of a goat......really.

I tried so hard to get Owen to kiss this goat, but he wouldn't go for it.

All right, enough of the animals, here are a few monkeys of my own!

This cougar was right outside the gate. The boys thought it was awesome, once they realized it wasn't real.
