Pictures on the Brain

I have 'pictures on the brain' today and I am not being very successful at getting anything else done. So, to avoid repeating a completely unproductive (As far as house work goes anyway) day, I am posted a few pics I took today and not touching my camera tomorrow! I was lucky enough today to be able to take pics of a sweet little baby for a friend of mine. (See my photo blog for those.) It was fun. It always is! :)

Yesterday Dan and I were able to get to the temple. It was already getting dark, and we weren't early enough for me to take more than one picture, but I still tried. I like it, but I can't wait to get back in better lighting. It was wonderful being there with Dan. It is so peaceful and inspiring.

On the ride home I played with my shutter speed on the street lights, I'll add a few just for fun.
After my shoot this morning the kids and I went outside for a "candy picnic" as Owen called it. We ate some treats on the front lawn. I love this time of year! Everything is slowing down. I wonder if we'll even have to cut our lawn again. It's looking pretty brown. I got some cute shots of Ellie standing and being curious. I love my kids. I can't picture my life without them! Ok, I better run. Here comes the good stuff!

The other day I was shopping with Owen and we passed the floral section. I was busy as usual and hadn't even noticed but Owen shouted, "Mom! Don't forget to smell the roses!" I stopped in my tracks and looked at him. He was absolutely insistent that I smell the roses. I thought it was so funny that he had phrased it just as he had, so I took the hint and we spent a minute smelling the roses and talking about all the different colors. I love kids! This picture reminds me of that. Ellie's taking time to notice the flowers too!

Some flowers from our yard. I don't even know what they are to be honest, I'm not much of a horticulturist, but they are beautiful!
