Linc started his first day of pre-school today and to say he was a little excited would be a HUGE understatement. He was up early, putting on his new school outfit and had already eaten and finished morning jobs by seven o'clock! When I dropped him off, I don't think he even noticed me leave. Usually this would make me sad, but with Linc for some reason, it makes me very happy. As I left I peeked back to see him introducing himself to all of the kids he didn't recognize and showing them his new shirt. When I picked him up, I asked him how his day went and he said, "good......I'm hungry." :) He is a very special kid. I love this boy!
On another note, we had a good/uneventful Labor Day weekend. It was nice to just relax, but we were sad our friends couldn't come to visit. (we WILL get together soon!) We got some yard work done that was well over-due, (Linc asked me Mon. morning if he could go pick me a flower from our meadow) and had a fun sleep-over in our front room Sunday night. Here are a few pics:
We found this little guy while doing some yard work. I actually saved it from being pulled in half! Linc was a little excited to play with him, so I had to show him how to be soft. Isn't it odd looking? (the caterpillar, not my child!)
We had a rock concert in the kitchen. (Don't even ask about Logan's outfit...I choose not to.)
Logan got to pick out a toy for filling up his sticker chart. He went to a bowling birthday party this weekend so I wasn't surprised at all when he picked this toy.
We had one of our favorite little persons over for dinner and cake. (Happy Birthday Ashlyn!)
We got really muddy. Well, Linc did anyway, but I don't think he did it all on his own!
See? He definitely had some help.
I had to carry him to the shower, and then the tub! Eww.
O got in on the bubble bath too.
I got to hang out with my almost one year old! She is close to walking and very curious. She's even learned a few signs already! She can sign "milk", "ball," "bye-bye" and something that I think means, "get me out of this high chair right now!" Usually that last one is accompanied with a lot of screaming, which is kind of missing the whole point of sign language if you ask me!
