Ellie's Blessing

Wow, I can't believe it's been almost an entire month! Seriously, I have been itching to blog. I'm so happy to be here again. A lot has happened since our last post, which would be the reason I'm so far behind. I think I'll add a few different posts today to get everything caught up. The first and most important is that Dan got to bless baby Ellie a few weeks ago. It was the Sunday before Christmas. In our religion, when a baby is born, the father or someone the parents choose, who holds the priesthood, gives the baby a special blessing. Each blessing is different, since the priesthood holder tries to follow the direction of the spirit while giving the blessing, but they all basically dedicate, in a way, the child's life to Heavenly Father. It is very special, and sweet and Ellie's little blessing was beautiful. The spirit was very strong.
We waited till she was three months old to bless her, because Dan's parent's were going to be here. We were very happy to have them here! Here are some pictures from Ellie's special day.

This is the same picture as the one above. I couln't decide which way I liked it more, so I added both.

I gave it an honest effort, but taking a picture of all my children together is A LOT like herding cats, not that I've ever actually herded cats, I image it's difficult though!
